Just finished watching Jeremy Lin and the Knicks defeat the Lakers with Lin scoring a career high of 38 points. For those who are unfamiliar with Lin, he’s the first American-born NBA player of Chinese (Taiwanese) descent and has this week stunned everyone imaginable leading the Knicks to four consecutive wins with his brilliant performances. His popularity has stirred quite a buzz on China’s Weibo where thousands of Chinese fans have followed him to show support. I myself was fan number 9000+, and now he’s at a whopping 460,000+ fans!
