The Office View
I couldn’t imagine having to go to work only to sit in your dark cubical for 8 hrs/day counting down the minutes to your daily 30 minute lunch break. Wait a minute, I can because that’s exactly how my first job out of college was! After a year of putting in my sentence, I was offered a new position where my desk was surrounded with huge windows letting in immense amounts of sunlight everyday along with a panoramic view of downtown. So what’s my point? Besides that hard work pays off, you need a view to stay sane.
In my prior condition depression tends to set in real quick. How I lasted a year is beyond me, although looking back I have to give myself a pat on the shoulder. Anyhow, I remember taking 90% of my breaks to go onto balconies to overlook the city and dream and pray for brighter days. The other 10% of the time I was complaining to my boss how tormenting this job was. I was fortunate the opportunity eventually came for me to upgrade myself. All I’m saying is everyone needs something to look forward to in order to keep themselves motivated. If you’re one of those people whose got that covered then great, if not, go find yourself a view.
