Shanghai Pudong Airport
Finally got into Shanghai after what seemed like a very long day. Flight was short, only about 1hr 50min from Hong Kong, and the weather is decent and not as cold as I thought. Came off the plane and went directly at the water dispenser to ease my dry throat.
Walked a little closer and read the small print. Although I know it’s only bad grammar, it still wasn’t reassuring to drink. Decided my throat could wait a little bit longer.
Passing customs and into the baggage claim, I noticed how much nicer the interior was compared to when I was here in March ’09.
Found out that the airport had been extended and took a little less than 2 years to complete.
Structurally, Pudong reminds me of Hong Kong International airport now.
A very nice touch that feels a lot more welcoming than before.
