The Peak Hong Kong
If you’ve ever come across skyline photos of Hong Kong chances are they were taken on the highest mountain on Hong Kong Island, The Peak.
I dedicated one night with a visiting cousin to take in the whole Peak experience. Coming out of the J2 Central MTR exit, we were greeted by the Bank of China Tower and Cheung Kong Center.
Street signs easily guided us to the The Peak Tram where our tickets were bought for the tram ride and entry to the Sky Terrace once we got up there. The Sky Terrace is the highest viewing platform on The Peak, so if you’re going for the view there’s no reason why you wouldn’t purchase this.
Trams come and go about every 10 minutes.
Word of advice. If you were like me who went on a busy Friday night, make sure you get on last so you’re the first one off. This way you can hopefully grab a good viewing spot on the Sky Terrace for photos.
On the terrace, a backlit wall gives us a history lesson on The Peak.
My tripod wasn’t tall enough so these photos were taken under extreme focus and body concentration.
Not really, but I tried to hold still.
Sometimes I forget how beautiful of a city this is.
A view of from the other side of the terrace. The corner where all the people are gathered is where the best shots are taken.
It was already getting close to closing time, so it was back down on the tram again.
Shouldn’t have picked a Friday night. Line was crazy.
Nice decoration to view as I awaited the tram to arrive.
Hope you can appreciate the time spent on this post.
