Howard Johnson Plaza Shanghai

There were a few recommendations for hotels from the travel agent, but the Howard Johnson had the best reviews for the area I needed to be in.

Walking into the lobby, I knew we had made the right choice.  To the right, although not shown here, was a small cafe with live music.

After checking in, room card activated elevators took us up to our room.

The bathroom was decent in size and accommodated all your toiletry needs.

The work desk with free high speed internet hookup.

I didn’t want to wake up after the first night because the beds were so comfy.

A one touch panel next to the beds to control pretty much everything in the room.

Not spectacular, but the view from the window.  The weekend room cost us about $100 USD per night for two people.  Seems like a great deal if you ask me.  The stay also included complimentary breakfast but for one person.  I’m not a big breakfast person anyway.
