Hopped in the car one night with the relatives and headed to a destination unknown for dinner. Wasn’t until halfway into the 40 minute ride there that I was told we would be having geese for the main course. “Have you had geese before?” my uncle asked me. “Not that I can remember” was my reply.

All I kept imaging was occasionally going to this lake back home with a few buddies for fresh air and chat. The lake path was always decorated with geese droppings and their loud squawks would interrupt pleasant conversation.

That’s why I had no hesitation to sink my teeth into one of these bastards. Couldn’t distinguish the taste difference between this and duck, so maybe there’s a slight chance I’ve had it before.
