Tuen Mun Goose
Hopped in the car one night with the relatives and headed to a destination unknown for dinner. Wasn’t until halfway into the 40 minute ride there that I was told we would be having geese for the main course. “Have you had geese before?” my uncle asked me. “Not that I can remember” was my reply.
All I kept imaging was occasionally going to this lake back home with a few buddies for fresh air and chat. The lake path was always decorated with geese droppings and their loud squawks would interrupt pleasant conversation.
That’s why I had no hesitation to sink my teeth into one of these bastards. Couldn’t distinguish the taste difference between this and duck, so maybe there’s a slight chance I’ve had it before.
Diced up goose liver
Some other dishes we had, fish and something else?…
Usually the beer of choice for Hong Kongers when eating out.
Ironic restaurant logo unless he’s about to throw himself in. Wish I could give exact directions to where this is but all I remember is an alley. Hope that helps.
