BoA YouTube Tokyo Live

So there’s been a lot of online talk about the YouTube live coverage, but I’m not sure if you can call it “live” because the only performances I’ve found were posted after the fact. Regardless, I wanted to check it out for two reasons. One for Asian Korean pop star BoA and the other for our favorite stormtrooper.

BoA takes me back to my adolescent years where I followed her career quite obsessively. I hear now she’s trying to break into the U.S. market with a single called ‘Eat You Up’ which she performs first on the above video. Looks like this girls still got it. Her dancing seems effortless, vocals are polished, Japanese is flawless, and English a little better. Enjoy the 20min performance, and be sure to look out on the last song where a guitar string breaks in the middle of a solo.
