State Tower Hotel
So you’re in Thailand and already tasted the papaya salad, been to the largest mall in southeast Asia, what’s next? Flipping through a guide book there was one place that I couldn’t pass up. That was the Sirocco restaurant on the 63rd floor of the State Tower Hotel.
The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine and has live jazz music everyday. I can’t tell you how the food is because for once I didn’t come to eat.
I came for the astonishing view. It’s times like this I wish I owned a better camera.
To make your experience even more enjoyable grab a drink at the bar.
The bar rotates through about 8 different colors.
A couple floors down is the Breeze restaurant which has Asian seafood. You don’t get the live band but still get the same view.
Looking up you can see the balconies of the hotel rooms. Just like the Pullman Hotel, you can get one of these 5-star rooms at an affordable rate. Special prices seem to start around $135 (USD). I will probably consider this for my next stay.
