Shinjuku Kent Hotel

If you want to be in the heart of the city, yet still keep your stay affordable, I would recommend Shinjuku Kent Hotel.

Kent Hotel is rated a 1 star hotel, but it sure didn’t feel like it compared to the standards set in the states. Sorry for the poor quality photos.

The only real con about the hotel is the limited space in the rooms. I can’t even constitute that as a valid point because most places are generally cramped in Asia due to the lack of space. Please don’t mind my mess.

There’s only room to stand in one spot in the bathroom. You pretty much do your business and get out.

A view from right outside the hotel. When I go back to Japan I would consider staying here again. Given the amount of people outside at night, I was surprised to notice that the noise levels were very minimal in the room. If it is your first time to the Kent Hotel and you decide to take a taxi make sure you let the driver know that it is located next to Koma Theatre. My driver had a real difficult time finding the place even with a GPS and road map. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Shinjuku train station.
